About the Issue
On 9 May 2016, MaltaPost joined other European postal administrations by the release of a philatelic stamp set with the theme “Think Green” so as to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of EUROPA stamp issues. The theme was intended to express the world’s aspiration for a better and cleaner environment.
Design
The €2.19 stamp was designed by me and the idea was inspired by that of Cyprus Post and seeks to transpose the same message within a Maltese context. The stamp features the 18th century Ta’ Kola windmill in Xaghra, Gozo.
